Tracy Goldie has been director and principal optometrist at Ballantine Goldie since 2011. Tracy cares passionately about her patients, and has gained a strong reputation for delivering a very high standard of service, combining her skills and experience with an outstanding attention to detail. Tracy believes in a more personal approach that lets patients access all the advantages of the latest technology, while being treated with care and consideration. Following on from Mr Ballantine’s retirement in 2021, Ballantine Goldie have been delighted to welcome Gwen Homer to work in the practice on a regular basis. Gwen has worked with the company as a locum for over 10 years but is now one of our permanent optometrists. Gwen brings with her a wealth of experience and a high standard of patient care. As a Gullane resident herself she is a familiar and welcoming face to many of our patients.

After 4 visits to this shop 2 tests 2 lense change glasses are still not fit for use less than a week and indentation in nose. Will go back to wearing old glasses till I’ve saved enough to go else where

Due to my health issues I have to check my ayes for every 2 years, normally I went to a high street optometrist, I complained for the last ten years that I can’t see good enough at the night time. The conclusion from high street optometrist was: you don’t have to wear a glasses!!!!! This time (my first time) at the Ballantine Goldie was something different, even the optometrist looked on early age of her professional career she done every possible test to find the fault, and she did found, a small difference in my ayes. After extensive tests and consultation she suggested to try a glasses who can help fix my vision at the night time, they’re certainly did, glasses was made in 5 working days. At the first night I stood in to my garden and I looked at the stars and moon, wow, now I can see sharply and clearly p. s. what an precision, I couldn’t believe that one appointment to this optometrist can change your view of life!!! Overall this was a 5 Star Experience and fixed vision, Shop was well lit clean and well organised, Staff was very friendly and helpful, Family friendly, Latest technology in use, Well experienced optometrist, Plenty of glass frames to choose from, Highly suggest this optometrist, Thank you for your commitment and to your team for support,

They are so good latest equipment friendly service the girl on reception is no nice and helpful I think she is new but all before was perfect to deal with, I would not go anywhere else miss Goldie is dedicated and committed to the best service nothing is a problem, good luck and thanks Larry Fraser Edinburgh your customer I was one of the first to use you when you opened .
