Horrible people. Julie Bancroft who wrote their 5 star review has just informed me they will take my 80 year old father who has Alzheimer's to court to claim the £677 owed for replacing 2 components (actual value £165 inc vat) in his gas boiler. I engaged this company I was told the cost would be £190 plus labour. Dad was left 2 weeks with no heating in the snow due to a catalogue of incompetence. Promises to call back not carried out. So I couldn't be there. Charging an extra £120 pounds above list price for components and hours of work that I don't even know they were in the house for, or if they were, their Incompetence meant the time was wasted. Result a £750 bill including initial call out. I've offered to call in an independent specialist and to pay what they recommend but Bancroft would rather take dad to court. On the lighter side dad will probably have heating in jail.

£750 Bancroft boiler repair left boiler in a dangerous state. 8 months after Bancrofts shambolic repair the boiler stopped working a competent qualified engineer discovered electrical cable had fused to the boiler. Unfortunately Bancroft had extracted the payment from my dad - who has Alzheimer's so I am now looking into legal action.

Absolutely appalled by the services of Bancroft plumbing and heating. I had a boiler installed over a year ago, the pressure has been constantly playing up since installation. We have made countless calls and queries to Bancroft to support with this issue, I was promised call back's on every issue I raised which never happened. We had a 12 month warranty upon installation and in this time we got no help from Bancroft despite asking many many times. The 12 month warranty has now expired, meaning we will have to pay for any further support from Bancroft. The whole experience has been a nightmare, I have wasted so much time and energy trying to sort out this problem for Bancroft to ignore me. We will now pay for a service which hopefully the service will shed some light onto the problem but be cautious when using this company to install your boiler.

Ignorant people. We had our boiler fitted by them 11 months ago at a cost of more than £3000. Within 6 weeks it developed a leak over the weekend, we were charged a substantial call out fee for a man to come out unscrew and rescrew a filter that had been incorrectly fitted! Refused to refund this fee but offered a discount on the yearly service ?!?!? Had an engineer out from First Utility to fit our smart meters, he was unable to do this because of the bodge job Bancroft have made connecting the boiler to the gas supply! They haven't even mounted the gas meter back into its box correctly! They are now refusing to return our calls despite trying for 2 days now. We missed one call, rang back immediately and the manager "had gone on site" what within 5 seconds? Of course he has! I will be seeking futher action against this company under the Customer Rights Act 2015, as their poor customer service and work ethic is preventing us getting services from our utility company. Avoid like the plague.
