Four Hills is a modern, purpose-built care home in Glasgow, offering nursing care to older people, in addition to respite care for those only requiring short stays. Our dedicated team of skilled and attentive staff are committed to satisfying each individual’s needs and ensuring the highest quality of care. Our stated aim is ‘to foster an atmosphere of care and support, which both enables and encourages residents to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible’.

The home, situated at the heart of the Ruchill community, is split into four separate units, all with single bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. There are shared lounges, many quiet areas and a small, self-contained flat available to visiting relatives. We’re lucky to have the best of both worlds – we’re just a stone’s throw away from the bustling West-end and the city centre, yet a half hour drive will take you to the bonny banks of Loch Lomond.

We welcome visitors at any time and are happy to offer helpful advice if we can, so please feel free to call us or to drop in.

I’ve worked at four hills for 4 years. At the beginning it started off a lovely place to work until Gil and Isla left. The carers worries weren’t listened to, I’ve spent many shifts in tears. We worked long hours exhausted because they wouldn’t give us more staff. The carers should be earning way more than what they get paid for. Lamb hill staff and manager Belinda made working there a lot better but wouldn’t recommend this as a full time job.

My husband, who has vascular dementia, vascular Parkinsonism and “brittle” Type 1 diabetes, was admitted almost eighteen months ago to Four Hills after many weeks in hospital. I heard about it by sheer chance and I am still so thankful that I did. Deep sadness and guilt at leaving him, especially when we were in the first lockdown, were very soon replaced by complete confidence in every member of staff, admin staff included. They have given him nothing but the best of nursing and personal care and have given me and the family nothing but kindness and understanding with unfailing cheerfulness. The whole team have met every challenge my husband’s complex needs have thrown up and always keep me “in the loop”, which is reassuring in itself. He loves the food and his bright, spotless room and his obvious contentment, and the very fact that he is still with us, is down to the wonderful care and attention he receives from all at Four Hills.

Although my aunt was in Four Hills for only a few weeks, we found the staff to be extremely helpful. The bedrooms were clean and tidy, the main lounge was accessible for friends and family. The care she had was superb. Sadly she passed away at the weekend however we knew that at the end of her life she was happy and well looked after.

Very friendly home, staff throughout cannot do enough to help visitors and residents living in the home. Nurses have been especially helpful with my father and his health has progressed since coming to the home in October last year. This home always has lots of activities going on, cannot wait to see the home in the coming weeks after the refurb is complete.
