It should be noted that the car park at Barley Mow is part of the Barley Mow Village Hall property and as such is a PRIVATE car park.  This car park is intended for staff and visitors to the hall.  If space permits it may be used by visitors to adjacent services such as the Pub and Hairdressers, however long term parking for any other reason is PROHIBITED unless said vehicle and owner has written permission to do so by the Hall. This policy has been necessary due to a number of people using the car park for very long term parking without permission. By Law, the only legal redress we can have in this regard is to ensure the car park is affiliated with a car park company belonging to the National Car Parks Association who are legally able to issue and collect fines to anyone parking in our car park outside the above permissions. Long term parking is defined as “in excess of 24 hours”. Should infringement occur a warning notice will be affixed to the vehicle windscreen and if the vehicle is not moved within 24 hours of the date and time of said notice, a fine will be issued. This policy has been adopted to protect access for our regular users and members of the community.

COVID BOOSTER INOCULATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM MANY LOCATIONS IN THE AREA, TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND USERS OF THE HALL WE WOULD ASK YOU TO GET YOURS! See more at;-

BARLEY MOW VILLAGE HALL CIO

50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Barley Mow Village Hall was officially opened on 17th October 1972 with a catchment area/ community encompassing people living in these areas.

Fifty years later and Barley Mow Village Hall is still here delivering a range of vital services both for, and with, the people of our community. This is something we think worthy of celebration.

Over the last few months, we have been working in partnership with students from the Media Department of Gateshead College to make a mini-documentary celebrating our first fifty years and this documentary will premiere at the event.

As well as the premiere of the documentary we will also have a performance of live music by acclaimed local country/ rock band C-Saw together with a range of related activities. The event will also have a free buffet are hoping that it will attract an audience of 120 + local people from our community.   See the photos and watch the video   click here

I honestly haven't been to this community centre in over 20 years. And yet I came here two weeks ago, for a local Limit Dog 🐶 Show. I mean honestly, this place is amazing & offers everyone a massive community hall. Big enough to hold the odd bouncy castle 🏰 or two, oh & that's including the party 🎉 I would definitely recommend this function room, to anyone ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
