Our time with Hettie supporting our daughter through the 11+ was amazing. Hettie was calm, firm and fun leaving our daughter energised after every session. Her communication was excellent and as a parent felt complete confidence with the work Hettie was working through. We genuinely appreciated her support and advice around Mock exams and on the exam day. Our daughter passed her 11+ and started her first day.. thank you Hettie.

My son (age 10) started sessions with Hettie to improve his confidence in his work and himself. He has now finished the weekly Skype lessons and has greatly increased confidence and, having passed the 11+, is looking forward to starting Year 7. Hettie connected really well with my son, took the time to get to know him and would tailor activities to his interests. She was perceptive to his mood, balancing favourite topics with those that needed a bit more work. He enjoyed the online sessions, looked forward to the challenges she set him and worked well to achieve them. She set clear expectations with homework and was thorough in going over areas or topics that required more work. I am really pleased we found Hettie as her patience, gentle persuasion and encouragement have really helped him to progress. I would happily recommend Hettie to others looking for someone professional and friendly who puts in the effort to help others improve. Thank you Hettie!!

Hettie is currently tutoring our son in English and maths (primary) online via Skype. We have found her to be reliable, very knowledgeable and friendly in all of the lessons. She has built a rapport effortlessly with our son and we can see his confidence growing already. We are especially pleased with how seamless the online lessons were, as this was a new concept for us. He actively looks forward to his lessons with Hettie. We would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for a tutor.

Last year, I was looking of a professional tutor to help me with English Language as English is not my native language. After a month of searching, I thankfully came across Hettie. I was immediately excited to work with her as from the first few lessons we had she was really professional and friendly. I remember that she would follow the necessary procedures to understand my level of my English and help me built on that, while we worked hard to get a high grade by the end of the year. Hettie was always patient to answer any silly questions I had and explain them as many times as needed. In addition, what I really liked about our lessons is when Hettie would check the homework and stop at every single mistake I had and explain it thoroughly. I believe that this helped me significantly because the way she explained things to me made sense. In other words, the next time I had to face a familiar exercise, I knew exactly how to handle it. During the first few months of the school year, I was one of the pupils who got really low grades, such as Ds, Es and many times not even finishing the exam practice paper. However, towards the end of the year and with the help of Hettie, I managed to get a B in the official exam, something I am really happy and proud of. I am sure that this progress would not even exist without the support of Hettie as she was a great motivation and inspiration for me to sit and work hard. I believe that collaborating with a tutor who is kind, friendly, professional, motivating and whom you look up to, is very important. I would recommend Hettie as a tutor 100% to anyone. It is really difficult to find a tutor who cares for your success and improvement. Hettie is one of those kind-hearted, hard-working and motivating people to work with. Thank you once again Hettie for your help and patience!

My daughter took online lessons from Hettie and she passed her exams with flying colours. We found Hettie to be a very enthusiastic teacher with excellent teaching skills who immediately put our daughter at ease. Our daughter really enjoyed her weekly lessons and always looked forward to the next session which didn't make studies seem like a chore. Hettie also addressed her doubts and provided strong motivation even when she struggled with certain topics. I would suggest anyone looking for a teacher for 11+ to try Hettie once and they will not regret it.
