A fresh manicure is a perfect way to add a little something extra to your outfit. While we will always love ballet slipper pink or a classic red, why not try something a little more adventurous for your next manicure? From subtle chic detailing to bold designs, there is something for everyone with this season’s most stylish nail trends – because life is too short for boring nails. According to data from Pinterest, searches for “indie nails” are up 21 percent this winter. But what exactly is this nail trend all about? It’s simply taking a different approach to painting each nail. As shown here, one digit might have a checkered design, while others have swirls or a fresh take on the French manicure. Gone are the days of more muted, neutral pinks. Look for all shades, from bubblegum to hot pink. “Pinks were a popular choice amongst designers this season, so I expect them to have a moment next year,” says Jin Soon Choi, manicurist and owner of Jin Soon Hand and Foot Spas in NYC. Simple looks that are easy to maintain and press-on sets have been very popular ever since the start of quarantine—and will continue to be as we head into another winter of restrictions, says Pinto. There are options abound online, but some salons, like Vanity Projects, also offer custom sets. Many people have been using COVID restrictions as an excuse to take a break from all the gel and acrylics to heal their nails, says Soon Choi. But that doesn’t mean abandoning your digits altogether. To ensure hands and nails still look, well, polished, Soon Choi says there’s more interest in nail care—like applying cuticle oil for hydration. The pearl nail trend has been brewing for some time now. The best thing about this trend is how versatile it is. If you’re after something luxe, have physical pearls applied to your nails. Depending on how glamorous you want to go, you can stick one on each nail at the cuticle, or cover your nails completely. However, if you want something a little more subtle, then an iridescent pearl nail polish is a perfect alternative. Subtly unleash your creativity with a single nail feature. For this understated trend, paint all but one of your nails in a block color of your choice and make the remaining nail pop! A classic option is a single metallic or sparkly nail, but you could try patterns or graphics. The possibilities are endless!

I visit Beautiful Nails very frequently and always have a good experience. The staff cannot do enough for you. It is a very busy salon with a very high number of regulars but Anna (the owner) always takes the time to learn peoples names and what is going on in their lives which i think is lovely especially with how busy she is and how many people she sees in a day. The nails are always at a high quality and they can do absolutely any design you put in front of them - and I mean anything ! Anna and her staff are always polite to everyone that comes in- even when people have been extremely rude to them ! I have unfortunately seen people be very rude and abusive - taking advantage that English is not their first language which is awful ! If you want lovely nails this is the place to come 💗

This was my first visit in several years. I stopped going due to Anna’s hostile behaviour towards me for no reason. Unfortunately, she hasn’t changed at all - still as venomous as ever. I decided to call the salon nonetheless and was advised by Anna to just ‘Walk-in’. Upon entering I greeted everyone and approached Anna briefly to explain what I would like; She said ‘ok take a seat’. I waited patiently for almost an hour. When Anna had finished with her client she stood up and ushered over a lady who had not been waiting for more than 10-15 minutes. However, the lady refused to take a seat by the workstation stating that ‘I was before her’ whilst pointing over towards me. Strategically, Anna avoided making any eye contact with me while explaining to the lady that she would call the next person once she had taken a seat - only then did the lady feel comfortable enough to sit down assuming that I would be called over next. To my utter dismay Anna proceeded to call over the next ‘walk-in’ lady who had just arrived in the salon only a few minutes earlier. After a moment or so I quietly approached Anna who was standing behind the desk looking nonchalantly at her appointment book; I asked why she hadn’t called me over given that I had arrived almost an hour prior to the other ladies? She just stood there in silence acting oblivious. At this point the same lady said ‘no take my place as you were here before me’; I said ‘are you sure?’; she said yes that’s absolutely fine’. I apologised and thanked her. As I sat down Anna walked over to me and mumbled some lame convoluted excuse for her obvious discriminatory actions. Her observational skills are razor sharp - This was no mistake. Her behaviour was calculated and reprehensible. On a positive note, the lady who did my nails was so sweet, calm and well mannered and my natural nails were done to perfection. Notably, I am of mixed race origin however I loathe to think that this could be a factor behind her hostile and discriminatory behaviour towards me. Moreover, I have witnessed Anna being vicious towards other clients in the past including a group of Muslim ladies who walked in and were told to wait. There were no available seats so one of them sat in a chair by an empty workstation and Anna screamed out “you’re not supposed to sit in those chairs” and proceeded to grab the chair from underneath her. The ladies were in absolute shock. It was so disgustingly embarrassing to see a so called professional business owner behave in such an aggressive manner. All customers deserve respect but ultimately it all begins with self respect. Alas, you have lost yet another customer. Then again, I guess you can’t expect any decent standard of etiquette from a Tax dodging cash-only set up.
