Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,

Bishop King is a Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school in the centre of Lincoln. We have approximately 400 children on roll, including a Nursery class. We are an inclusive school within a very diverse community; our children are of many different nationalities.

Our vision, “Dream big. Love God. Live well.” encompasses our church school values to inspire our children to do their very best and to achieve well in everything they do.

We have two classes in each year group, from Reception to Year 6, plus a Nursery where we admit children after their third birthday.

We are a positive team, working hard to ensure our children reach their full potential. We have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and work ethic but we also recognise that it is important for our pupils to develop their talents in art, music and sport; hence, we offer a wide range of opportunities – inside and outside of school hours.

We will continue to work closely with parents and carers to ensure they are engaged in their children’s learning. Thank you for your continued support.

With very warm wishes,

Mrs H Wheatley M.A.

Headteacher

I went here until year 6 and u am completely frustrated with the people and the food. At one point i was bullied and all they said is that if it was out of school they couldnt do anything and not a lot was done about it. Sometimes the food was not cooked and it was refrigerated from the day before sometimes it would have been microwaved and tasted disqusting. When we did P.E we would do it in the mall hall were there would be food all over the floor we would have to do P.E witg food on the floor the hygiene was horrendous. I give this a 1 star do not recommend.

I started going to school here when I was about five and there wasn't really a lot of support given to me during my time here. The support staff were amazing when working with me, as were most of the teachers. I was bullied at one point during my time here and not a lot was done about it. Haven't been back here since I left at the end of year six so I don't really know how much it has changed since then but i would recommend it. they did as much as they could to support me
