Absolutely love this chip shop, tasty chips and awesome scallop fish cakes, they actually have a chunk of fish between the potatoes, I used to go to Woodlesford for those as you don't get them everywhere but these ones beat them hands down. Fish is also nice, so is battered sausage. The staff are always friendly and still little amused when I ask for large curry sauce, mixed half Irish half fruity. Definitely recommend to try. We have 2 chip shops in our village but I will rather drive to this one in Castleford.

Fish and chips were very nice BUT the Parsley Fish cake and Sausage were both RAW I complained and it was replaced BUT the fat in the Deep fat fryer needs new oil the Sausage was OK but the fish cake was Vile.

This place is amazing and me and my dad go frequently. Clean, nice staff and overall, amazing food. Very much affordable and large portions. Variety of meals, drinks and side dishes. Are 100% going again.

Absolutely disgusting, got a regular chips tonight from this blue ocean chippy in Castleford, when I got home the stingy amount of chips shocked me, not enough for one let alone the two of us. £1.50 ripped off. Avoid this place, I won't ever return again, I usually go here for my chips and have been for a couple of years but not anymore! I'm absolutely disappointed. No explanation or excuse you provide to this review is good enough. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this place.

Proper Yorkshire fish & chips, both cooked in beef dripping not cooking oil. Decent prices too, worth a visit.
