Broadland Food Innovation Centre

This major project is an exceptional opportunity for food and drink businesses, especially for SMEs and start-ups in Norfolk and Suffolk, to accelerate success and turn their potential into thriving commerce.  

The Broadland Food Innovation Centre will provide the food and drink community with a prestigious facility within the Norfolk Food Enterprise Zone to grow their businesses. The Food Innovation Centre will be Norfolk and Suffolk’s first dedicated food grade innovation space. 

The Innovation Support programme, delivered by Hethel Innovation, provides businesses with 12-hours of bespoke advice and guidance. These 12 hours of support will give access to technical specialists through a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), where the project will cover 100% of consultancy costs. 

The Food and Drink innovation Cluster, led by the University of East Anglia, will facilitate greater levels of knowledge exchange, R&D collaboration, new business and supply chain opportunities. Joining together the agri-food research at Norwich Research Park with the food and drink sector, this cluster will provide an innovation ecosystem for Norfolk and Suffolk.
