Just had a chip supper from broomhill chippy. Fantastic food, plenty of it, and tasted great. Arrived plenty of time to spare, and HOT. I had chicken n muchroom pie, plus chips with curry sauce. Oh, and a potato fritter on the side. A really nice pie, up there with a posh pie! Nice pastry, plenty of filling, and good chicken pieces. Chips came covered in curry sauce. We ordered 2 potato fritters (1 each). Fresh and very crispy, but not greasy. Mrs had the faggot meal. 2 massive faggots (each prob twice the size of a brains faggot) and very tasty.. could've been a butchers faggot ... Chips n mushy peas covered in gravy. Mrs could only eat one faggot, and even said of the gravy, really nice wish I'd gotten a spare pot. Mushy peas were perfect, and had the right colour. Only ate one faggot, but ate the lot! Ordered just after 6 on a Wednesday and came in plenty of time ... We are quite local tho, but don't drive. I CANNOT fault the chippy for quality, time or anything else. You may want to get extra in gravy or curry sauce. Both were really tasty. Curry sauce was nice n thick and had a mild ish flavour, but enough to know you've eaten curry sauce. ... Perfect. Gravy was as good as homengravy, and the Mrs who is fussy over gravy, said she will order a spare next time. We will definitely be ordering again. Very happy, and very pleased, and obviously initial teething issues sorted.

First Visit: The staff were friendly and I was served very quickly. I ordered fish and chips and had to wait a little while they were cooked (which is okay). There were masses of chips (they really could do with serving less) and they weren't bad, but nowhere near the best in Bristol; they were less than crisp. The fish itself was nice, but the batter was the biggest disappointment; soggy and strangely rubbery. My conclusion is the the batter is probably mixed too thick and the oil not heated hot enough. I want to come here again, but would love some reassurance first that the crispiness issue for both the chips and fish will be addressed. Second Visit: Again, friendly staff. Chips not bad, but not stellar either. Closing time was meant to be 10pm, but they were in the process of closing down at 8:45pm. Great people, but still a lot of improvement needed here on quality and service.

The staff here are great, really friendly and helpful. Their burgers were excellent, but their chicken donner kebab was delicious. The meat was delicious and their hot sauce was perfect. I've already bought several and will again. The salad was very fresh too. Even the medium sized one was more than enough. Definitely going back again soon.

Ordered fish n chips from the friendly staff and after 20 minutes was given two boxes. One filled with enough chips to feed a family of 4 that were barely cooked and had a very peculiar taste. The fish came in a separate box smothered in a thick, soggy, rubbery, inedible batter. I ended up throwing the whole lot out and going elsewhere
