Part of the community for years, Busy Bees at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham is a purpose-built, two-strorey nursery which is ideally located next to the QE and Women’s Hospital. Within a walking distance from the University train station and bust stop, the nursery is also accessible via M5 and close to Birmingham city centre. The parking on-site for convenient drop offs and collections makes the nursery a fantastic choice for busy parents.

Our daycare setting offers 7 large and airy rooms fully equipped with a range of age-appropriate resources to support children’s various developmental needs. The warm and caring staff plan engaging and stimulating activities for each age group daily. There are different activities for babies, toddlers and preschoolers who also have access to a touch screen computer used to enhance their early ICT skills.

The spacious garden area in a natural environment with mature trees is split into 3 sections which includes a soft play area, a grass area and 1 playground. Children can grow their own fruit and vegetables, dig in the mud or sand pits and explore throughout the day.

We offer nutritious, well-balanced, NHS accredited meals for all children and have been awarded 5 stars for excellent food hygiene standard. Food is prepared on site by our Head Chef and trained kitchen staff. All dietary needs are catered for and a weaning menu for our babies is also provided as part of our four week seasonal menu.

With a security system in place, parents can rest assured that their children are safe at all times. The staff at QE Hospital site are dedicated in giving the children the best start and work alongside the parents to provide every opportunity to each child. We follow and go beyond the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and continually observe and support the children in their individual needs. Busy Bees professionals are committed to their personal development and attend a variety of courses offered by our National Support Centre.

The children's time in nursery is treasured and remembered in a variety of ways, such as displays, photographs and the children's learning journals which are their own to keep when they leave the nursery, we also have a graduation ceremony for all the children to attend when they leave us for school. We hold parents evenings twice a year for the parents to come along and speak to their child's key person and we have a large amount of parents in our Parent Partnership Group who support the nursery in many ways.

We invite you to book a visit online to experience the difference of a Busy Bees nursery and meet the friendly team of our nursery in Birmingham. We look forward to welcoming you and your family.

My daughter Rose started here a few weeks ago and has already made lots of positive progress. The staff in particular Miriam and Gemma go above and beyond. I really do feel like that they really love the children here. I am always updated on how she is, what she’s been up to. As a first time mum, I love how the staff offer advice from their own experience as well as working with different children within their care. There is positive reinforcement for children here as well as a range of activities. I’m regularly updated via their app as well as in person when I drop off/collect my daughter. I was scared to begin with about starting my child as such a large nursery and the relationships with members of staff and the children that attend but they are a very close team, really update on childcare and welfare. I am so happy in the knowledge that my daughter enjoys every moment here and she is in safe hands. Thank you for not making a working mummy feel guilty and providing a positive environment for my child to flourish.

Lovely purpose built nursery , the staff I have encountered are both professional and caring, my child has always been happy and contented whilst in the care of busy bees, I have no concerns when leaving him in their care and have already recommended this nursery to friends and family alike.

It's just the best nursery we could possibly wish for. All the staff; in the office, in the rooms, the cleaners... everybody, they are so friendly and welcoming, and have all taken the time to get to know our son and make us all feel at home there. We couldn't ask for any more!
