Cabaret Voltaire

This is Cabaret Voltaire, an institution in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. We specialise in music- live music, dance music but most importantly, LOUD music. Through legendary club nights, live shows and variety of special events, we turned the historical vaults of Edinburgh’s North Bridge into a nation-wide famed venue.

For over a decade we have been at the forefront of Scotland’s electronic music scene and club culture. Definitely the best place to go to in Edinburgh. The music is lit, the cocktails are good and the staff and bouncers are very friendly (Paul you made my night!). I highly recommend this place.

Went here duting the fringe to see comedy, all the beers were out by 8PM! Disorgansied, was disspointed, otherwise we probablly would have stayed.

Nice drinks and awesome staff. Biggest issue was the wait time to get drinks. Also I thought the music was a bit too loud, bit that might be my old age showing 😂

Nice place (the ground floor) and the day I visited it had really cool electronic music. I will definitely visit it again. Its also free so you pay what you drink. I don't know about the basement, because I had free entrance, tried to enter at 23:30, a lady was there working, but some friends came and I had to wait for a while and then at 00:04 I was refused the free entrance, because the same lady at the entrance told me that I was allowed to use it till 00:00 (!)...
