Chantry House Nursery School

Here at Chantry House we provide a first class academic grounding in the early years of education, implementing the tools each individual child needs to achieve their full potential. We believe strongly that by maintaining a family atmosphere and nurturing children will give them the opportunity to grow and learn in a friendly, safe and stimulating environment. We promote their learning through play, incorporating the EYFS ('Early Years Foundational Stage'), keeping their learning and development unique, based on planning through individual needs and interests of the child. For ages 3 months to 1 year A lovely bright colourful room where babies can explore the environment. The baby room is open plan which enables them to interact with lots of people. For ages 1 to 2 years Our Nursery is bright and spacious proving an excellent environment for inquisitive babies to explore. Our daily routine is flexible, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to join in whilst also meeting the needs of our smaller babies by continuing ... For ages 2 to 3 years While in Pooh Bear Room, we encourage more child initiated play whilst supporting learning. We also progress their circle time from flashcards to shapes and numbers. A great deal of time is spent encouraging social skills and toilet training in this room ... For ages 3+ years The Tigger Room is our last stage of development at Chantry House and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage. I can’t tell you about the actual nursery as I never got that far however as their organisational skills are horrific. Arrived for my 2pm appointment to be shown around and was told they weren’t ready for me. They wanted me to wait outside in the cold with my 10month old for ages! Never once got an apology and when I asked if I could book another time to come back they wanted me to wait until the following week - I’d already waited over a week for this appointment. If I’m honest just how unorganised and rude they were is a complete turn off, definitely won’t be wasting my with them in the future.
