What a fantastic gem of a place...highly recommended...it almost feels like watching a film at home! Only downside was heating was on mega high...was so hot inside!! Oh... forgot to mention.. we watched Joyland... what a film...it got an 8 minute standing ovation at Cannes fil festival which speaks for itself!@

I organized a Hong Kong movie series for my client at Ciné Lumière, and all feedbacks from audiences, clients and film director who presented via online meeting gave great feedbacks. Spacious seats, quality projection and AV, friendly and helpful staff. We hosted 700+ in 2 days and everyone were happy. Great location even though a little tricky in finding the entrance which is not facing the Main Street. No food in the cinema so it’s not for the Marvel type of things, but for cinematic art lovers, this is a great place in London.

Love the art deco of this theatre and it has a real calming presence and a relaxed mood setting when entering the building. Staff was super friendly and very polite. The theatre has such an authentic french atmosphere quality about it that gives this transported feel of escapism from London wich I found to be quite liberating. The chairs was comfy and the screening and sound design of the room, made for a truly great viewing experience. A wonderful cinema for seeing movies that matter.

Saw Jean Vigo's L'Atalante here and had a great experience. The cinema is part of the Institut français du Royaume-Uni. The building is very elegant and feels like a museum. The movie theater is comfortable and the staff is welcoming. I visited a couple of cinemas on my trip and this was the one I liked best.

The cinema is a bit Spartan but their film selection is impeccable, the brasserie should frankly be a coffee shop, it is very uninviting, perhaps it should be open until late, lets say 20:30, before the last film of the day, so one can have a light dinner before watching such films. Anyway, overall pretty happy with having such a venue in London.
