Hello and welcome to Confident Canines Dog Training

We offer a wide range of options for training puppies and dogs of all ages to suit your (and their) individual needs.

Covering Leyland, Buckshaw, Euxton, Chorley, Preston, South Ribble & most of South Lancashire

Our group training classes are based in Leyland but we typically travel up to 10 miles for private training, covering most of south Lancashire.

Puppy Classes

Our 7-week Puppy Foundation Course is for puppies aged up to 18 weeks on the start date of the course.  These classes run at Halls for All in Leyland.  We generally have courses starting every three weeks.  During these courses we cover all of the important foundation training skills that a puppy should learn early in life.  In addition to the in-person training, attendees also gain access to our private Puppy Training Hub on our website where you can view all the training material and also video demos supporting all training exercises covered during the course.

We have a maximum of 6 puppies in each class to allow plenty of space between puppies and individual attention from the instructor so that your puppy gets the most out of their time with us. 

Progressive Life Skills Classes

For puppies that have completed our puppy training course or who have had one to one training with us, these classes help you to progress your training from foundation level, developing real life training skills. During these classes we work through our Confident Canines Life Skills Award program so that you can see just how well your dog is doing against a measured level of achievement.  

One to One Sessions

If private one to one training sessions suit your needs better, our sessions are tailored to address specific topics you may need help with. These sessions either take place in your home or at a public location agreed prior to the session.  Advance booking is essential!

Puppy Packages

If you are due to welcome a new puppy into the home, we offer a variety of puppy training packages which are designed to help you prepare for new puppy ownership and can assist you in the initial few weeks when you bring your puppy home.  Advance booking is essential!

Canine Hoopers Classes

As well as being our head trainer, Emma is an Accredited Canine Hoopers UK Instructor and a Platinum Pro UK Hoopers Instructor, training dogs to competition level.  She hosts Canine Hoopers taster workshops as well as regular Hoopers classes for those looking for something a little bit different (but also fun!) to do with their dogs on a regular basis.  If you prefer, there is also the option of one to one Hoopers training too.

Short Courses & Training Workshops

We offer a range of enjoyable training workshops to fine-tune your training skills and most importantly; to have fun with your dog!  Choose from Reliable Recall, Lead Walking Skills, Canine Hoopers, Scentwork and Dog Parkour.  

Outings and Social Events

As well as the formal training sessions, Emma has created a strong local community of dog owners and regularly organises walks, outings and social get-togethers for like-minded owners to be able to come together, socialise with their dogs, and practice their training if they wish!
