I have a degree in music production and 15 years of guitar teaching experience, I have been a performing guitarist all of my life and I am a keen composer. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to learn the guitar

We moved from another guitar tutor to James as we were disappointed with the tuition being received by my son and we were so glad we did. He has brought my son on lots and has a good structured approach to teaching which gives us more confidence. James is a nice guy who is friendly and professional and willing to accommodate the needs of the pupil. Highly recommended.

James is a fantastic teacher and role model for our 11 year old boy, who has been learning guitar with him for just over a year now. Our son gets not only top class technical and theoretical knowledge from James, but is also getting an entire musical education, coming home inspired by all the classic bands and musicians that James has introduced him too. Our son is now confident and playing his guitar fluently. James is extremely patient and has gone out of his way to be very flexible re swapping lesson times / days when needed. You can tell he really loves music and has a passion for teaching. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

I've been getting lessons from James for a few months now. After trying with an app. In person lessons make so much difference. James is an amazing teacher, easy going and friendly. Lessons move at your pace and flexibility on lesson times is brilliant. I could not reccomend James highly enough. I've been taught so much more than just how to play. Theory, picking up tips on guitar care. If you are looking to learn, James is your man.
