We offer a complete printing service from design through to final product and dispatch.
Using the latest technology we aim to work with our customers to provide high quality, cost effective print solutions, we will take care of the whole process of getting an item produced from the design to sourcing the best quality and value products.
Our services are open to all staff, students and members of the public.
University's Procurement Regulations
In line with the University's Procurement Regulations, all printing requirements should be directed to Kent Design & Print Centre. Use of external printing companies is not permitted. Kent Design & Print are responsible for the procurement of all printed materials on behalf of the University of Kent, and will liaise on your behalf with any of the approved University printers to obtain competitive printing quotes and will see your job through to completion.
Print buying
Where the Design & Print Centre are unable to produce the work in-house, we will liaise with several trusted vetted printing partners on your behalf to obtain the best possible price and quality. We will work closely with the printer on all aspects of the job from sending to press, proofing, final printing through to delivery. The Design & Print Centre staff have a combined print experience of 117 years and therefore when speaking to the external companies, we have the knowledge to ensure the correct specifications are suitable for the type of publication thus reducing wastage and further costs. To cover this service we charge a print management fee of 10% of the print cost, this is capped at a maximum charge of £50.
Environment
We use paper from sustainable sources and we also recycle all of our waste paper and by-products. Deliveries are made using our electric vehicle.
