As a student at Leeds Trinity University I recently completed my second year professional work placement with Developing Business Excellence Limited. The managing director, Richard treated me with respect throughout the whole of my time working with him. I felt empowered and trusted to work unsupervised as I was predominantly working remotely. Richard supported me with all the work I completed by answering any queries I had and provided me with the right materials and documentation to complete tasks that I was set. Richard provided me with all the necessary encouragement to achieve my full potential out of my placement and gain the experience I dreamed of. Developing Business Excellence Limited is a professional business which offered me a safe, non-judgemental, good-humoured, and suitable working environment. I hold Richard and Developing Business Excellence Limited in high regard and would highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a professional work placement in the future!

Contacting Richard even though doubtful that anyone could do anything for me or that he could in any way help at all! has turned out to be one of the best life decisions I have ever made. In a few short weeks the situation I was in has gone from being in a very daunting and unmanageable place to be stuck. To being one where the future looks so much happier, manageable, and exciting. His extensive background in leadership, management and coaching was clearly demonstratable. Approachable, empathetic, and armed with tools and questions ready to help truly makes every session individually tailored, valuable and worthwhile. I've got a lot out of my time with Richard. He listens intently and from his years of experience knows when to be soft and when to apply the tough love that is needed. He will be a continuous source of support for me in the future. Having regained my focus and direction my I am going from strength to strength. Richard has really helped make sense of a lot of things that were holding me back changing my thought process has made a considerable difference. I highly recommend Richard as a genuine, compassionate, honest, and knowledgeable coach. I will definitely be back in the future when facing new challenges that this ever-changing world whether it is personal and professional. I would urge anyone who is even slightly struggling or whose organisation needs help to give Richard and this process ago. My only regret is not contacting him sooner.

I can't recommend Richard highly enough! I emailed him enquiring whether he would be interested in employing me, but there weren't any vacancies. However, not only did he respond to my email, but to my complete surprise he also offered to meet up in a café and help me with my CV and give me tips and ideas on how to apply to the jobs in similar, as well as different fields. He gave me constructive feedback and practical advice which made me much more competitive for future job applications. This was all in good will and he offered to do so free of charge, which speaks volumes of the lengths he's willing to go to to help people out. That's what his business is all about, and there's no doubt that he cares massively about people, and I'm sure he'd be a great business consultant and coach for anyone!

I met Richard in the capacity of leaving the military and transitioning to civilian employment. Richard replied to emails promptly, was early for every appointment and he was well prepared for our meetings. Richard is a genuine person who is highly professional, knowledgable and cares about people.

Richard and I served together in Defence more than 20 years ago, and only reconnected on Facebook in 2020, following a chance encounter. I contacted Richard again on Messenger, with a request to critically review my CV prior to my application for a more senior role. Typically, he responded within two working days, as he said he would. His feedback was comprehensive, constructive, concise, and encouraging, as it invariably was all those years ago. Prior to reviewing my CV, Richard researched the job vacancy, and sought permission to provide critical, but constructive feedback. He sent me working examples of a functional CV and put me in touch with one of his connections in order to enhance my learning and development, for which I’m extremely grateful. I’m glad I kept in touch with Richard, and would recommend his services to others aspiring to succeed.
