Donna's Driving School.

Hi and welcome to my driving school here’s a little bit about myself and the school.

The school is relatively young compared to some others although I have been in the industry for a number of years working with other companies in the Barnsley and Sheffield areas. This enabled me to gain knowledge on how the industry works and what client’s want, which I believe is value for money and lessons to suit their busy schedules.

I am the only instructor which means I am able to work around the needs of the business. This means I don’t just work 9am to 5pm but also some evenings and weekends which helps those with work commitments or child care requirements. Learning to drive can be worrying enough without having to sort out personal lives to be able to do it.

Each new client will be given help with theory test tuition if required, and also a client record card where we are able to record progress and plan future lessons. Doing this ensures all the criteria required for the driving test is covered and that the correct standard for enjoyable safe driving is achieved.

Before going for the driving test I carry out mock tests. I try to make this as realistic as possible as it not only makes sure you are ready for the actual day but I believe it helps get you used to test conditions so hopefully reducing any nerves you may feel on the actual day of the test.

One helpful hint to give the client driving at the time my full attention I will not answer any calls. My mobile will automatically divert to answer phone so it would be helpful if you would please leave a message with your name and number so I can call you back as soon as I am free.

Definitely highly recommend to anyone who wants to start driving with a good instructor that puts you at ease. Having 2 of my family pass 1st time, both driving with confidence and competence. This gave me lots of reassurance and comfort in knowing they have been taught to a high standard and will be safe on the roads to themselves and other road users. Donna has a very calm reassuring nature and discusses progress at every stage. A natural coach putting her students at ease she really helped my sons and brought out lots of positivity. Finally another family member is starting with Donna shortly. We thank Donna and wish her every success for the future.

Felt very comfortable with Donna as she was extremely nice, understanding, and easy to talk to. Learnt a lot with her and that’s what made me pass on my first attempt. Always had the car ready for you and made sure you were okay and most importantly told you what you had done well and what you needed to improve on which was perfect for me, even took time out on a Saturday morning when my test was near just so I would be more prepared. Would recommend to anyone wanting to pass their test👍🏽

Highly recommended driving instructor.super kind and friendly I was never nervous when getting behind the wheel, Donna put me completely at ease talked me through everything and no question seemed silly to ask her. Talked to me through the hard lessons I didn’t find easy and plenty of praise on the good lessons, always there to help with queries you have about driving. Took me through all my basics and kept me updated with everything through the midst of the pandemic. Worked extra hours to get all the lessons in she could for the people who were ready to take their tests coming out of lock down(me included) and was able to fit me in for my test with only two days notice.

Excellent driving instructor, went the extra mile and kept her day open the day before my test in case i felt i needed an extra lesson. Passed first time as she did everything she could to make sure I was confident for my test. Definitely recommend.

Donna is a very good instructor. She was very accommodating when I had to reschedule lessons and as my test was in January, offered to work between Christmas and New year. Highly recommended.
