Dorringtons

I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the final cake. It was identical to the picture I had sent through and the attention to detail was amazing, even down to the volume knobs. The guitar was a Gibson, and it was clear that some research had been done on Gibson guitars as the writing next to the cake was in the Gibson font which was a lovely touch. More importantly, the cake was tasty - lovely and light. I would recommend Dorringtons.

Love their cakes etc. But today, having been Inspired by what we saw being made in a tv food programme I phoned the shop and asked, “Have you got any Meringues?”.... the woman said “yes, we have got Quiche Lorraine” - I replied “No! I want Meringues!” The answer had me doubting my own sanity... she said, “We don’t sell Meringues!” In a manner that implied “why would you expect to find Meringues in a CAKE SHOP???” We decided to make a fish finger sandwich Instead..... life is too short!

Best cream cakes bar non. Proper donuts that taste like the real thing and not cake, crispy, gooey meringues with a generous amount of cream. Great bread as well. Not sure about the staffing situation, they seem to have a high turnover.
