My son started at Early Years 2 when he was 9 months old. He is now a confident and bright 2 year old. He has come on so much during his time there and he amazes me when he comes home and says and does things I wasn't aware he even knew. The staff are lovely and approachable and I really feel like my son is cared for and his best interests are at heart. The staff were a great support when faced with some medical diagnosis's, and they ensured that this would not impact his time at nursery.

Outstanding!! I found Early Years on a fluke while trying to find childcare for my daughter quickly as mine had fallen through and I could not praise them enough, we had to have countless settling in days because my daughter was only used to being with family and was extremely difficult with the change from family childcare to public childcare and they were outstanding, understanding, aided us in every possible way, the ladies are devoted and such loving women who have helped my daughter grow into such a beautiful child in these past few months. I have noticed such great changes in her manners, temperament and attitude. Even with my work changes and schedule they are second to none in helping. My daughter tells me about all the activities and fun learning she does and enjoys every moment of it. If your looking for a nursery you can be confident in, you will not be disappointed. Thank you ladies.

My granddaughter has been coming to this nursery for the last 3 years and has absolutely loved it, always found staff and management very friendly and approachable. Would recommend this nursery for high quality childcare!

If i could give zero stars i would. The standard of this nursery has gone down. I had to remove child from this nursery due to the current manager lying about the care and feedback given to my child. Found out truth directly from child and confirmed by other staff. Raised these concerns to the owner who did not care about the lies being told by the manager and backed her up. Both myself and child became targets with my child being singled out and treated in a discriminatory way by not embracing diversity and inclusion with repeated attempts to undermine what I asked as the child's parent. Had to complain to ofsted about this. Also raised concerns for low supervision given to children who are left to eat dirt and leaves off the ground and look very dirty despite aprons and change of clothes provided. Child removed and now in a higher standard nursery where staff are open and honest, embrace diversity and difference and are always inclusive and accepting of all. Basically not ignorant to other cultures and upbringings. They also do not hold children back who are bright as I found with Early Years. Advice if you are at or considering Early Years Derry Street is you get what you pay for, trust your gut if you feel that what your being told does not sound like your child, ask your child to confirm what your being told is true and how they're day was. The manager will look you in the face and lie even when caught so just be aware. If your complaint is not being dealt with appropriately, raise them to ofsted. You should not be penalised for raising concerns. Changing nursery was the best decision I have made and my child is now very happy and thriving and i will no longer have to hear my child tell me that the current nursery manager told others not to play with her. Its wrong, its unprofessional and nothing justifies a child being treated this way at any nursery by any staff entrusted with their care.
