Welcome to the The East End Arms

Don’t forget we are now cashless and only accept card payments. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome to the East End Arms, a traditional country pub and restaurant located in the abundantly beautiful New Forest National Park. At the East End Arms, we’re proud of our warm welcome, our delicious food, our locally brewed ales and our cosy, comfortable bedrooms.

Bought in 1990 by John Illsley, bass guitarist of Dire Straits, in order to preserve it for the local community, the East End Arms has managed to retain its loyal local following while also drawing in visitors from outside the area, attracted by the authentically good food and relaxed atmosphere.

Had a tasty lunch there on Bank Holiday Monday. Would recommend all the dishes we tried, from the yummy scallops to seafood linguine and top quality cod & chips. The new chef is going to be one to watch for.

We had a lovely lunch at the East End Arms yesterday. My 11 yr old son, said it was 5 stars! And we agreed, the service was quick, the food was so delicious, and the wine was really lovely too. Looking forward to going back soon!

We used this establishment for overnight accommodation. I booked 2 x superior rooms, rooms were clean and very nicely appointed excellent quality beds. The breakfast full English with locally sourced products was very good, disappointment that they had run out of several options on the breakfast menu, considering they knew how many people were staying overnight this shouldn’t have been an issue. All staff were polite, helpful, the only other small inconvenience was that they insisted you settle up with each round and would not tab to a room even when staying. However would return and also recommend.

A great pub, wonderful food brilliant staff and a beautiful location. Good local beer and plenty of character. Maybe a bit crowded when busy. But lovely. A real find.

This used to be one of my favourite pub/restaurants even up to about 3 months ago. I regularly happily recommended it to friends. Being quite regular customers for lunch and dinner, my wife and I went there a couple of weeks ago for lunch. For the positive the Ringwood ale is still good and well kept. We were disappointed with the current lunch menu which used to be much, much better, top quality in fact. The latest lunch menu was at best average, we thought though, ok for a quick lunch. Whilst there we asked to see the evening menu as we had intended bringing a family gathering soon only to be told it was the same menu. Oh dear please return to your previous excellent menu choice.
