We offer fantastic value self catering holiday homes at Freshwater on the beautiful Isle of Wight. With so much to see and do, there is no better place to start and finish your holiday than with us! Our site is small, quiet, safe and family friendly, having been our home for well over 40 years. We are happy to welcome you to our site and also to share our personal views on attractions that you should definitely see (and importantly, those you shouldn’t!) We have a choice of three holiday units – all on site mobile homes with kitchen, lounge and three bedrooms to comfortably accommodate up to six adults. Each caravan has a garden area, and space to park. The land surrounding the holiday homes is rich in wildlife – such as our native red squirrels – and the site is only 300 metres from a public footpath which leads to the Tennyson Trail, Causeway, Freshwater and Yarmouth to the West, as well as Afton Downs, leading on to Tapnell, Chessell, Brook and Brighstone to the East (we cannot be seen from the footpath at any point though). Despite the name, we are not actually a fruit farm. Many moons ago the land used to be a fruit farm and we have not had the heart to change the name to anything less romantic.  We have grown many a lettuce here, but there is no longer any fruit  – the fruit has been taken over by wildlife! (which we think is much more entertaining anyway) Searching for the right holiday can be stressful, but you can now stop looking! John and Brenda Craddock have lived at Freshwater Fruit Farm since 1972, working the land, raising a family and creating a wildlife haven in the process. John and Brenda now spend their time working on landscaping the Farm and are able to enjoy the benefits of watching the birds feed, the squirrels chase and rabbits run. We have had three mobile homes on site since 1999, letting them on a self catering basis providing a family friendly, safe and secure environment. Since we started, we have added a laundry room, many bird boxes, several ponds, planted several hundred trees and continued our personal quest to expand our ecology at Freshwater Fruit Farm.

Stopping here for the second time and we love the peace and quiet, spotted red squirrels whilst eating breakfast. John and Brenda are great hosts that greet you when you arrive and make sure everything is in order then leave you to enjoy your holiday.

We have had a wonderful week at freshwater fruit farm. I would highly recommend this friendly family run accommodation. We booked two caravans for four adults and four children. At first we were using the farm as a base however there was enough space for the children to run around after a day of exploring the sights of isle of wight. Thank you for having us.

Stayed here when the kids were young and had a when the kids left home went again and really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. But the caravans were beginning to show their age. We first visited over 20 years ago, and some of the accommodations were dated then and they still have the same caravans. I know this is reflected in the price but you really need to upgrade. Would go again if it wasn’t for this

What a fantastic place this is for a short break to the IoW! I didn't even now about Sam the dog or the airstrip until arrival, but they were lovely surprises that just added to the holiday! John and Brenda were great hosts, and I'd definitely visit again in the future! Also great views!
