Here at The George Inn Newnham, our daily goal is to create, serve and enjoy fine fresh food. The George Inn is a very traditional, family run, Shepherd Neame country pub, run by Claire & Dave Elliott with a little help from their girl tribe!

Nestled in the Kent countryside between Sittingbourne and Faversham. Steeped in history, d

ating back to 1540, The George originally started as a farm building and became a brew house and coaching inn, in 1718.

Full of character from old oak beams, hops and inglenook fireplaces.

We welcome you to our country pub & restaurant, and wish you a hearty appetite.

A great local pub with amazing food and friendly helpful staff. There was a area with armchairs and sofas and a fire if you were just having drinks or tables for those having meals. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the food tasted great - all super fresh. I went along for a themed evening which was spectacular. The whole pub was decorated and staff all dressed up. There was music, a dance floor and themed menu.

Lovely beer garden but wouldn't allow use of it cause it was too far for the waitress to walk?! Made to sit in the smoking area instead! Dry rose ordered, white Zinfandel served which she the insisted was dry. If you don't know which wines are dry and which are sweet perhaps a little training is required.
