Scotland is the first country in the world to provide free period products to anyone who needs them, thanks to The Period Product (Free provision) Scotland Act. People will be able to collect period products in most public buildings from 2022. In Edinburgh free period products are already available in many places including schools, community centres, libraries and can be ordered online. All the products available through City of Edinburgh Council venues are supplied by Hey Girls, a social enterprise providing sustainably produced products. As we prepare to fully implement this exciting Act in Edinburgh we would like you to tell us whether you have taken free period products for yourself or others, what period products you prefer and what you think would encourage more people to take products for their own use or to give to other people. Please go to www.edinburgh.gov.uk/periodproducts and share your views. The survey will close on Monday 28th February. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
