The worst experience i have ever had whilst moving house. We decided to go with HCB do to their website on the service they provide. The service we received was not what they said they would provide. We had Thomas as our conveyancing solicitor and he caused more stress then we could have even imagined. There was no communication from hi what so ever, when there was he would repeat himself what he said he was doing from a few weeks previous. Clearly not working on our file. His advice was even more shocking as he was telling us our offer said one thing and we needed to do X Y Z but when we and our mortgage advisor looked none of this was asked for. Prices for indemnitees, land registry fees etc nearly doubled from our initial quote and what we agreed to and when raised about these extra fees we were ignored. From start to finish HCB has caused unnecessary stress by the lack of professionalism and communication. Our mortgage advisor, estate agents and new build developers all said that they have never ever dealt with such an incompetent solicitor in their professional careers. We have raised an official complaint with HCB and this was supposed to acknowledged within 3 working days, a week later there was no acknowledgement. We had to email again to ask for an update and only then did they acknowledge. I will update this review once the complaint has been dealt with. We will not be using or recommending anyone to use HCB.

We have just completed on our new house. Christine was incredible. We were able to complete on the timeframe which we had hoped for down to the efforts of Christine. She was also very professional, making sure to keep us up-to-date with how everything was proceeding and answering our communications promptly. The whole experience was incredibly stress-free!
