Family was visiting from Florida and we decided to try a meal at Hearth of the Ram. Everyone had something different and there was no complaints. I personally had the beef burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. It was huge and flavorful. Chips were nicely done. Beer was good and cold. We had 5 or 6 different servers check on Us or provide things asked for. The price was more than We normally spend on a meal, but by no means felt they were over the top. I had read other reviews here with complaints about how long food took or lack of service. It was surely not the case on our visit. The place was fairly busy with people seated indoors and outdoors since weather was great. We had drinks in 5 minutes, our meals served at 40 minutes. Nice atmosphere inside the place.

The food was nice, but I feel you can get similar cheaper locally. We were impressed by the wine. House red was reasonably priced and tasted ok. Major downside was it was freezing. We weren't the only ones to keep our coats on. Worth I visit I guess, but on a warm day. Went back a year later, food again was nice, apart from desserts, which weren't worth the calories. The service though was not good, drinks forgotten, appetizers arrived with the mains. Mmm shame, cause you feel like they're almost there, but not.

Took my family here and was sorely disappointed. Based on my experience I have no idea how this place ever gets good reviews. The only reason I’ve even given it one star is because the young waitress who served us on arrival was attentive and tried hard, but her efforts were overshadowed by the ineptness of the person who took our orders and the bland, poorly cooked food that was served to us. The list of minor faults is too long to post here but here’s a few examples…. Ordering one drink but being served another. Asking for something to be left off a plate but being given it anyway while other items listed on the menu absent from the plate when served up. Some dishes were undercooked, while some badly overcooked. (The duck was SO badly cooked it was absurd). A distinct, almost puzzling, lack of flavour in much of the food served. Ordering stuff that never arrived (although to be fair they didn’t charge for it either) And bizarrely, being served a mojito with a glow stick stuck in it!? I can only assume that the usual chef and head waiter were off sick that day.
