I love this store, loads of easy parking on the flat, welcomed by friendly helpful staff. I used the click and collect and my order of 10 heavy bags of bark chippings were ready for collection in minutes. A very helpful young lad Harry, helped bring my order out to my car on a trolley and even kindly put them in my car for me, Thank you Harry.

Spencer in the garden centre was so helpful We had already brought 2 pots & needed a 3rd but didn't have any on display. So I asked Spencer if there was anymore, he went off to have a look for me & came back with one!! I was so pleased!! Really good customer service

Went here to buy a bbq in the sale. Bought an outback for a very good price. I was given first class assistance from Nigel. He made sure I bought the right sized cover, then helped me take it to the car and load it in the boot. Absolutely first class customer service.

Rude and arrogant staff member. Completely ignored me when I went right up to talk to her, so I continued to speak to her regardless. (Selective hearing). She huffed and puffed when I dared to even ask her politely to find someone to help cut a section of pvc pipe in half for me. She was NOT remotely interested and clearly did not want to help you. There was absolutely no customer service forthcoming or enthusiasm for her job either. Her face, body language and general demeanor said it all... She Informed me in an abruptly hostile way that there is no cutting service for plastic so that forced myself as a customer to end up having to find some method to cut it myself! She was obstructive in coming up with any solution that I broached. After I cut and purchased the pipe she approached me rapidly complaining that I had even dared to cut the pipe myself in the store? Well, she wasn't going to do it for me was she or indeed provide a tool to do so? None of the other members or staff had an issue whatsoever and I even had a chat to a really pleasant guy who served me behind the desk and asked if I was okay cutting it myself until this arrogant "lady" accosted me demanding to know how I cut it, why and where? She was told to "go away" as we felt intimidated by her behaviour. I shall not shop here until Homebase clears out the deadwood and rot with regards to certain employees in this store. No wonder their stores are empty!? The kitchen department chap was unparalleled to this Vile woman who even said "see ya", waved and shushed me off with her hands when I walked out much to her colleagues clear disgust.. I felt very embarrassed for her. Of course she would give management an entirely different account and she would not be disciplined over her behaviour. This is exactly why standards are slipping.

Problem is stock. Most suppliers have the same challenge. No rain barrels except those requiring round drain pipe fitments. We have square guttering & drainpipes. Also went first to Ramsgate Garden Centre. The prices they charge! A small round kettle BBQ £128 same thing in Homemade was less than £30. They had a good selection of BBQs at Home are i clouding a folding one. If you want a BBQ then shop HOMEBASE!
