We know who we are. We have known since The Hooden was built as a Coach House in 1648.
We believe in great service, quality food and good drink in a friendly environment.
We don’t confuse ourselves with pubs that attempt to be Michelin star restaurants.

WE LIKE OUR DRINK
The beer we serve includes locally brewed, to traditional standards like London Pride or Doom Bar. We love local spirits but also stock the old favorites.

OUR FOOD IS FANTASTIC
Serving all types of delicious meals. As our name states, we love the flavour and melting texture of slow smoked meat. We liked it so much that we imported a smoker from the USA! We also cater to vegetarians, children’s appetites and fabulous deserts!

WE HAVE AN AWARD WINNING GARDENWe have always known how fantastic our garden is but did you know that we have been awarded the Star Pub Awards for the Best Outdoor Pub/Garden!! The best space in all of England people! Come on down!

Pizza oven, outdoor bar; our garden is like Doctor Who’s Tardis as it’s sheer size will surprise you. Two enclosed children’s play areas, quiet areas for adults…the perfect place for everyone to enjoy the sunshine. Fabulous!
