In 2011, following a successful ten years in the marine industry selling motor yachts and with a growing appreciation and passion for property. James joined Stags Estate Agents, a well-known multi-branch independent west country estate agency firm when they opened an office in Torquay. 

There he gained valuable experience in selling mid to upper end coastal and country homes and quickly rose through the ranks to become branch manager after only a few years.

To further his experience, James moved to an Exeter-based independent estate agency as sales manager, covering Exeter and the surrounding towns and villages. 

However, in the traditional estate agency model, James never felt he had the time available to look after his clients in the way they ought to be.

Partnering with The Agency UK means that James now has the time to do things properly. In dealing with a smaller number of properties, James can give his clients his full attention and the level of service they deserve, from the initial appraisal appointment to completion of the sale and beyond.

About James

James has lived in South Devon since 1976, which is certainly long enough to know whether jam or clotted cream should come first! 

He was lucky enough to grow up in the South Hams near the coast, where he spent much of his youth messing about in boats on the Salcombe Estuary.

For the last 15 years, James has lived in Teignbridge, first in Kingsteignton and now Chudleigh with his wife and two children. 

Outside of work, when not spending his time with his family, he enjoys cycling the roads around Dartmoor and the coast and classic car restoration.
