Spent the day at Canterbury and hiring bikes made it even more enjoyable. We found the shop very easily and our bikes with helmets were waiting for us. Our seats were adjusted and we were given a quick tutorial on shifting gears and how to use our locks. Oh and need to mention that we booked them before arriving which made things very easy and simple. Great way to see a lot and smooth rides. Highly recommended!!!

Kent Cycles were brilliant. Excellent, friendly service, and the online and offline maps they provided made navigating to Whistable very easy. It was also great that we could leave the bikes at the Whitstable shop while we mooched around before cycling back. We’ll be back next time we’re in Canterbury.

I booked two bikes with Kent Cycles 3 weeks ago. Was super easy to book on their website (best to prebook): you select the bike you want, pick up point and your height, and they have it waiting for you upon arrival. The guys at the office were friendly and very helpful, and we both found the bikes great fun and easy to use. They equip you with all the essentials (helmet, lock, repair kit, map) and then you’re on your way to explore the beautiful Kent countryside. It’s great that you can also drop off at 2 other locations, in case one-way is enough, but if you do get stuck, give them a call and they’ll run out to sort you out. A truly excellent service!

On Holiday in the area and visited Kent Cycle Hire who were very helpful when we used their services. As a family of four we thought we would try out a pair of tandems which I found to be a very social way to cycle as I'm usually left behind while the male members of the family have hammered on ahead and have to keep stopping to wait for me to catch up. This was much better. We started off in Canterbury and set off to Whitstable following the crab winkle way. On arrival their sister shop will keep the bikes for you (if you prefer) while we went off for some very needed lunch and refreshments. The afternoon ride was a gentle ride along from Whitstable following the oyster trail and back to leave the bikes at Whitstable. The beauty of this company is you can finish your ride at either of their shops so you don't have to cycle back to the beginning again if you don't want to. We loved our experience. Equally useful was the triangle bus service which runs every 15 minutes so we were glad of our bus ride back so no cycling up hill to return to Canterbury.

Outstandingly friendly, helpful, personal and thoughtful service. We hired two bikes and a child trailer for a day and rode them Canterbury-Herne Bay return. The bikes were well serviced and the printed map with detailed route instructions was very helpful. Spare tube, tool kit, pump, emergency number (thankfully not required) and safe riding tips were appreciated.
