COWBOY! BEWARE! Here are some photos of Mr. Levitt's handy work. Would you trust somebody to touch your car when they bodge jobs as bad as this? 1. For £30 Levitt "diagnosed" it was the alternator. It wasn't, and he charged me another £250 for a new alternator for no reason. 2. He fitted the WRONG alternator, It's for another car. I've been told that it's a cheap knock off from AliExpress, so who knows what car this alternator is for. The serial numbers cannot be sourced. It's Chinese rubbish. 3. As it was the WRONG alternator, the plug would not fit. Attempting to force it to fit, he snapped the pins, broke the plug and tried to bodge it all together with black silicone. That's what the blob is. Silicone. It's supposed to be a plug which fits into the alternator. 4. He let me drive off like that. The car broke down again after 10 minutes, after he claimed it was "fully tested". 5. There were dog hairs all over my passenger seat after he gave the car back. 6. I kept asking for receipts. I'm yet to receive any after agreeing to send them to my email. The most I got was a scrap of paper with £250 scribbled in biro. 7. I asked him to source a new cable to replace the one he broke, so another garage can fix the mess he made. I've not heard back, even though he promised it was an "easy fix" (so easy he glued it, and didn't fix it himself after 14 days and £280), and he'll find one in a couple of days. Still waiting......
