I went to M&S because I was unhappy with my previous set of glasses. When I explained the problem I was having with the glasses they suggested another eye test. I was listened to and the staff, particularly Lynn; identified what she believed the problem was. I now have two pairs of glasses that I can wear. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional and helpful. Lynn, thank you for identifying the problem and resolving it. Ede, thank you for measuring and fitting my new glasses. Took my 3 year old son for his first eye test. We saw Elaine who was absolutely brilliant with my son, recognising he was a little nervous and she soon brought out his confidence in helping him with all of the tests. Great service

I made the eye examination appointment for my young daughter 6 months ago. But the appointment was cancelled just the day before notifying me that there was no opticians and I was required to make another. Unfortunately it was cancelled again by M&S for the same reason the day before AGAIN! It took me more than 1 month eventually for that eye examination. The service was not good either. The crew didn’t have a smile at all and they used to gather at the counter. They just left us choose the frame alone without help. My girl tried almost every pair to get the perfect fit because her nose was flat and difficult to find ones that made her felt comfortable. Finally she chose a pair she liked but the crew said they didn’t fit her because the temples were a bit too short for her. We then had to restart again to find another pair. A week later we got the text message telling us to collect her glasses. I followed the instructions to call their customer service for an appointment. The Operator said no appointments needed for collection so we didn’t make one. But what, when we arrived the staff didn’t let us have the glasses because an Optician had to be present for kids glasses. You don’t know how many hassles we had just for a pair of kids glasses. And don’t forget to check their opening hours because the area closes much earlier than the M&S store does.

Poor service or rather lack of service! They called me 2hrs before appointment (which they confirmed the day before) saying they have to cancel as the optometrist didn’t show up for work! Not reliable at all!

I would recommend this opticians in Bluewater over any others. Excellent staff, they quickly arranged an eye test and my glasses were ready within 2 days. All staff were very helpful but the optometrist went above and beyond with help to get an urgent eye hospital appointment.
