Privacy and independence, friendship and support - 24 hours a day

Sandygate offers care and comfort, compassion and friendship. At the heart of all we offer is our assurance that you will be treated with the respect and dignity that we all deserve, and if you need anything at all, we’re here to help, 24 hours a day.

Whether in the privacy of your own room or relaxing in the company of your friends and neighbours, we will support you to spend your time doing the things you enjoy. Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Landscaped gardens invite you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.

Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef to suit you and any dietary needs. And, of course refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time.

Sandygate has the latest safety and security design features so you can live life to the full with peace of mind.

Your room

All rooms at Sandygate are single rooms with en-suite facilities. Our rooms are modern and stylish, with bright contemporary decoration and furniture. All rooms have a phone point and TV terrestrial aerial connection available. Free Wifi is available throughout the home.

Residential care

Our residential care is all about providing a special kind of home from home. It’s our way of making sure your loved one continues to live life to its fullest and remains as independent as possible. It means they can get out and about when they want to, catch up with friends or pop to the shops, but with the added security and peace of mind that comes from knowing 24-hour support is available if they need it.

Our team are on hand to offer just the right amount of care, giving those who need it support with activities such as bathing, dressing and mealtimes. Without having to worry about cooking meals, washing clothes or getting the hoover out, you’ll see your loved one truly enjoying life and exploring their full potential.

Residential dementia care

We’re proud to be recognised for our pioneering approach to dementia care, which is carefully built around each individual. Our dementia facilities here are second to none, and specially designed to provide a reassuringly familiar, engaging and warm environment for those living with us.

Residents enjoy music therapy and reminiscence activities, including dressing up areas, designed to stimulate social interaction and alleviate the feeling of isolation associated with dementia.

Food and drink

Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef, to suit you and any dietary needs. And, of course refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time.

Couldn't wish for a better care home, staff and management absolutely fantastic. Staff are so caring and nothings ever to much to ask of them all. Well done Sandygate and keep up the good work.

Lovely home. Staff so caring. My mum received end of life care and we could not have asked for more. Mum was cared for in such a kind and dignified way. Thank you all at Sandygate.

I work for an agency and did a last minute 12 hour shift recently here. It's the best home by far I have worked in. The staff are so friendly and compassionate. The residents are all so happy and well looked after. Was a pleasure to work with such amazing people. I will be looking out for future vacancies here for sure.

I had parent here for two week respite break. She had no shower or bath in two weeks and lost half stone in weight, when she fell and fractured hip we were not told she had been taken to hospital and only were told when we arrived to visit her at the home that she was not there. Awful experience.
