Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park is open ALL YEAR ROUND along with the onsite Bar & Restaurant, great value off peak during November & December … relax on park or combine with visit to the City

We thought you might like to know…

We have some exciting news that we want to share with you regarding a new development at Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park in Edinburgh.

We are thrilled to announce that we are about to begin building a modern customer facility for the park.

The new building will provide modern WC & Shower facilities along with a host of additional features and will be open all year.

Work will start in November 2022 with completion scheduled for the end of June 2023. The park will continue to operate during the construction period. Please note that although there may be some disruption and noise this will mainly occur during the months of January – March 2023 and work will only take place Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and on Fridays from 8am until 1pm. No work is planned for weekends or during the festive period.

Customers who have booked caravan holiday homes should note that the construction site is at the furthest end of the park from the caravan holiday homes and thus disturbance is expected to be minimal or non-existent.

If using the park during the construction period we ask that you follow signage and instructions provided by our management team; please do not access the construction site or spaces designated for the use of builders.

Finally, may we take this opportunity to thank our past guests for the time they have taken to provide us with feedback in the planning of this significant investment. We value your opinion as well as your custom and strive to exceed expectations with this new facility.

If you have any queries, or indeed ideas, for our development of the proposed camper’s kitchen then please do contact the park directly and once again thank you for listening.

Visited in August. Large site but well laid out. Well stocked shop for essentials. Several toilet/shower blocks but these quickly run out of loo roll and hand soap due to number of visitors. Take your own, just in case. Great location for Edinburgh. Days Bus tickets available to buy from reception, cheaper than parking! No.11 bus takes you all the way to city and back and these run til late at night.

Had a week here in one of the Static Holiday Homes.. It was simply fantastic. Great modern accommodation just short of a measuring jug.. spotless on arrival and wonderful park facilities. 35 min bus ride from the end of the drive into the city centre. Staff are fantastic.

Good location camp-site with a bus stop directly into the city centre (Bus 11). Bus takes 20min into the city. Tap on and off bus with your normal payment card. Campsite is very big with 3 amenities blocks. Toilets and showers where clean, and nice. Showers were hot and included in price (no tokens needed). Staff were great and check-in was seamless. There is also a place to park and stay for late check-ins if the office is closed. This is best for campers and RVs. The area we stayed the pitch was flat, and the grass very nice. Good spacing between pitches. We stayed for the Fringe Festival, so I would recommend booking online as the camp-site was very full. However it does accomadate a very large number of people. There are 2 highland cows in the field opposite the garden centre which you will pass if catching the bus into town. They are very friendly. Really good camp-site that I would stay again at.

Fantastic site. Just four miles from the centre of Edinburgh, but set in beautiful country surroundings. Spotless, modern showers and toilets, very helpful staff, a direct bus taking you into the city stops right outside. Our first time here, but we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Big, big site. Hundreds of pitches quite close together. Sadly resembles a car park in places. Quite orderly & calm though. Facilities are ok. Can imagine not though if the site is at full capacity. Excellent bus service into Edinburgh. Bar & restaurant on site currently closed Mon-Weds (it’s May 31 2022)
