It was opened on the 3rd of May 1972 by Coronation Street Favourites, Stan & Hilda Ogden. At that time, fish & chips were served at just 45p per portion.

Took my parents here and the food was delicious!! We ordered 2 fish and chips along with dips and curry sauce. For £6.95 you get a big sized fish and chunky chips. Dips and curry sauce were all nice too. It's definitely an experience eating here and i will definitely be coming back here! If you love fish and chips you've got to visit this place. Service was brilliant here also. Catered to our every need happily. 10/10.

We ate in and the battered haddock was lovely, sadly I can't say the same for the chips which were very average and just warm - probably because they had been fried a good 10-20 minutes earlier. I would recommend frying chips in smaller batches so that customers chips are always served piping hot. This location also has free parking in the car park directly outside it (just remember to add your registration to the machine).

Inside the shop was bright and clean. Staff very polite. We had fish,chips,curry sauce and gravy. Fish was cooked to perfection,the batter was the best I've had for years. Chips were big and chunky and again cooked to perfection. Curry sauce and the the gravy were acceptable.

Nice and clean. Fish was amazing however some of the chips were slightly undercooked. The ones that were cooked were crisp and fresh. Curry sauce was lovely too. I wanted to give a 4 star for the undercooked chips however Cleo, the girl that served us, pushed it up to a 5. She was serving a busy shop, bringing food out to customers at their tables, manning the phone, taking orders and did it all with a smile and so efficiently too. Great service Cleo. Keep up the great work. You're an asset. First class fish 🐟 Recommended

Fish was amazing!! Chips not so great, some were a bit undercooked and hard but would deffo try it again as the fish itself was really good. Hopefully the chips a bit better next time but I would recommend for the fish alone! Gives the Black Country museum fish shop a run for its money
