I stumbled upon Miles by chance when looking for a London-based surveyor in the summer of 2020 and am so glad I did. His honest and pragmatic advice was invaluable in helping me avoid what would have been a very problematic purchase of a 2 bed flat in SE London - the survey was incredibly detailed and it was never a problem to speak on the phone to talk things through. The added bonus of incorporating a drone review within the very reasonable price meant that we picked up some issues with the roof that reinforced the decision not to go ahead with the purchase. I've since used Miles for a survey of a new onward purchase (November '20) and am happy to say that his assessment has given me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. Miles was again very happy to speak on the phone and also turned around the reports incredibly promptly. An excellent service delivered by a thoroughly nice man.

We were very impressed with My Local Surveyor. Miles was very responsive and the report felt thorough and was clearly done to with a lot of care. We received a few quotes for a survey from various companies and the use of a drone to check the roof most definitely stood out to us. We would definitely recommend Miles to friends and would use him again.

Miles was extremely responsive, professional and genuinely just a nice guy. He was quick to do the survey and report write up, the drone footage was a really cool and valuable. He found some areas of damp which subsequently was reported to the seller who fixed at their own expense. A well spent investment with Miles and would recommend.

Responsive when boking the survey but impossible to reach over the phone after the survey report was issued and paid. A few important points were missing in the final report...

A very professional service all round, quick and efficient. We didnt proceed with the purchase as Miles spotted that the chimneys were unsupported and could fall through the house anytime. Thank you!
