Message from our Headteacher

At New Horizons Children's Academy we foster a community of respect and inclusivity and I am proud of the commitment staff and pupils show towards making each learning day enriching and rewarding.

Our school is an exciting place for children to broaden their horizons and grow in character.

It ok for a primary school, plenty of space for children to play and run around. Ive been at this school as a pupil before for 2 years and there has been times i hated my stay. Some staff tend to not be very fair and friendly with students which is why i rate it a 3 star

Started off ok 3 yrs ago. However since then the school has gone downhill fast. Bullying issues do not get addressed and the head teacher is never available to speak to. There is no teacher - parent relationship and the teachers are always over worked and never have time to speak to you on the playground. My child was dyslexic but we were told by her teacher that she was lazy! The SENCO is never available to speak to either. The school is run as a business not a school. We have now removed our children from the school and I would not recommend.

Awful school, wish I could give it no stars! I wouldn't recommend at all, bullying is rife and they don't do anything about it. My sons teacher is a compulsive liar and she also takes breaks away because I forgot to sign his book to say he read (have to do that every night!). His yr 4 teacher called him a liar and intimidated him in front of me and the school have the cheek to ban me from the premises. Many parents have pulled their children out due to physical violence from other children, one child was kicked in the head on more than one occasion and then after she was shoved down a flight of stairs her mum had enough and took her out. My daughters yr 2 class was so chaotic that a chair was thrown at her and the teacher did nothing, didn't even check to see if she was OK so I took her out of the class and reported it. The list is endless, I could go on and on, Facebook is full of tales of how the staff members hate the headteacher Mrs Murphy and that would explain the high staff turn around (that's from the ex teachers themselves and their partners), the headteacher will always be too busy to hear your concerns despite going through every leader first and then will cancel on said meeting and off load to her assistant on the day and that's after waiting 3 mths to try and resolve and incident of another parent telling her daughter to smash my daughter f.in face in on school premises that Mrs Murphy basically laughed off at the time. Its a joke, don't apply for it, run for the hills... So glad I have removed my children, at least I don't have to watch them crying every night and every morning Also parents are screaming and swearing at each other as the road is grid lock at pick up because the school shut the car park gates and they don't care about the issue at all!

Wasn't to bad when we first started but school went down hill very quickly. Teachers were never available to speak to and communication wasn't great. wouldn't recommend
