Our furry friends

We welcome clean, well-behaved dogs in the pub. Sunday lunch however is not suitable. If you wish to dine on Sunday with your four-legged friend please book in our outdoor dining areas.

The staff is lovely and friendly. They are also pretty efficient. We always get our food in a timely manner and with a big smile. The food is also lovely. Nice pub. If you are coming with kids, it's great because they have a big playground outside which is a definite plus. Warmly recommend.

We were a group of 6. Our first visit. We enjoyed our experience very much. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed the food, which we felt was good value too. We had a table outside in the covered area, it was lovely. We would be happy to return.

Excellent food, great service and price. The kids play area and outdoor option is great when the weather is good. When it’s cold or wet indoor is a traditional pub with good spacious tables. The orders are taken swiftly and the food arrives in good time piping hot and most importantly is very tasty. The setting with the common behind means you can have a nice walk and then some good food in a traditional pub, could not fault it.

Met an old friend for a walk and we worked up an.appetite for breakfast, we were shown a table inside, and noted it was 11am breakfast stop at 11.30. We both had the sourdough with poached egg, I added bacon to mine, and coffees, service was friendly helpful and food came quickly. Highly recommended 👌

One of my grandsons had his wedding reception here in the orangery. It is a really lovely place. Lots of green space around it. Food was great.
