DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CAR DEALER!!! I Purchased a car from David Carlisle in May 2020, he continuously said nothing was wrong with the car and said the MOT wasn’t due until January 2021 due to COVID. The day I drove the car home it was overheating knowing full well I had children in the car! I called up to complain and said I was taking it to a garage as I lived an hour away from where I picked the car up from. He just said to let him know what the garage said didn’t offer to pick the car up and look at it to get it fixed. The garage I took it to fixed it for a while costing £160 which I then thought it would be ok but then a couple of months later on it was overheating again and smoke coming from engine, it had an oil leak, needed wheel alignment, gear stick was faulty, it needed a new battery, the MOT was actually due July 2020 which I then had to pay almost another £800 for it to pass. I contacted him again in which he was very useless and continued to say there was nothing wrong with the car when he had it and refused to do anything about it. I’ve recently had RAC out for the 3rd time since may and it’s finally been confirmed that it’s the head gasket! I believe this man knew from the very start what was wrong with the car (insignia) and was still happy for me to drive it with my children in it. And also used COVID as an excuse to extend the MOT when it was clearly not in a safe condition to drive! I would strongly recommend against purchasing a car from this man! I paid £900 plus part ex my corsa for this car so far I have spent well over £1500! And now the head gasket needs doing. I’ve had nothing but problems with it since I brought it 7 months ago and he’s done absolutely nothing about it! He’s an absolute joke and a disgrace and should be shut down!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!

Bought a car on the 10th May 2018 within 2 days I had to take it to the nearest garage to get it look at . I was told by the garage that I should take it back were I got it from espically since I'm driving with my 9 month old son with me . I tried ringing this garage on numerous times and left quite a Few voicemails. None of which I got a returned call from. I had no other choice but to pay for the repairs which have just been finished today 7th June 2018.. Here is everything that had to be replaced........ 2 shockers 2 springs 4 bushes 2 brake pads New clutch and fly wheel And to finish it off a new tyre as it had a split on the side. According to this garage no of these are under warrenty and apparently the car that was sold to me was it perfect order. I would personal say that these amount of parts that had to be replaced to make it safe to drive do certainly not occur within 48 hours after being purchased . Wear and tear comes in time not 48 hours. ........... When I eventually got in touch with the garage after having to use someone else's phone as he had defiantly blocked my number. I was told that as a good will gesture he would give me a 120 pound back ........... a joke and a insult sold a death trap and this garage doesn't take any responsibility I have just had to folk out £1600 on parts and labour on a car I haven't even owned for a month and the fact it came from a garage and this is how you are treat is disgraceful. 😠😠😠😠😠😠
