Handed in my daughter’s school blazer for dry-cleaning at Newtown. It looked like a dog’s dinner! It emerged a few days later absolutely pristine. I had to check the name label to make sure it was the same one! Friendly service too ... even the dog was happy, as he got a treat! Thanks very much ladies.

Very unprofessional. I used this dry cleaners for the first time without looking at any reviews first and my first impression of the woman at the front was as if she just wanted the item and me to leave as quickly as possible. After finding out the price was £6.50 for my skirt I thought it was a reasonable price and it would be cleaned within a couple of days. My boyfriend went to collect it once it had been "washed" and there was a note saying they couldn't wash out the marks which to me were something I could so easily myself as they were faint dirty marks but the material of the skirt had to be dry cleaned therefore I paid money for basically nothing and now I am left with the marks still on my skirt. Will not be returning here ever again.

I sent in a kilt outfit to be cleaned for my son and the lady only checked in the jacket by mistake. When my son went to pick up the outfit the assistant said it only the jacket receipt was there therfore I did not hand in the kilt. I was given the cold shoulder and expected to forget the £600 kilt, Later on my son went back to get more details and they found it through the back. When I was in the shop they made to attempt to look for it or apologise. It was a case of computer says no. Terrible Customer Service.

I took in a brand new feather duvet in to be cleaned, when I went to collect it, it seemed to have disappeared? Whilst I accept that things go wrong, the way you deal with it is what matters. I was met with blank faces, shrugging shoulders and empty promises! This was repeated regularly till I went in one day and found a new Manageress in place. She was most apologetic, and dealt with the problem immediately. Within 4 or 5 days I had a replacement duvet! (A totally different level of service). I will use this dry cleaners again, if you had asked me that 2 weeks ago I would have said no, never, but I feel with the new management in place everything will be fine!

Updated review** Since this episode I have been contacted by the owner who has apologised and has kindly offered me credit for my next visit. I left a coat in on the 29th October and was assured it would be ready for collection between 12-3pm on Saturday 1st October. This was key as I needed the coat for a work trip the following day. The woman I dealt with told me that to be on the safe side I should come in after 1pm in case they were running behind. I arrived at 1:05 to find a note on the door that they had decided to close at 1pm! Nobody called to inform me or suggest I come earlier to collect my coat and when I tried to contact a staff member there was repeatedly no answer and no option to leave a voicemail. I emailed - no reply. I called the manager - no reply. I called the owner - no reply. When I went in today to retrieve my coat after my work trip I was met with such bad manners. No apology was offered and no offer of compensation but I did receive what can only be described as an urgency to get me out of the shop. I will never use their services again nor will i recommend them to anyone else. Despite the sudden closing there was no attempt to contact customers, no apology, no discount and no manners.
