Lovely clean and welcoming pub, really nice atmosphere. Felt sad that it was very quiet. One thing I noticed immediately was the price of meals - most places have almost doubled their prices but these were much more reasl and and for that reason alone the pub has gained new custom. But as well as that the staff were efficient and friendly. I had the BBQ chicken burger and the rest of the family had fish and chips. My meal was excellent and the fish was first class with such crispy batter and the chips were spot in. Overall a very pleasing dining experience and will be here again very soon.

We'd been to Chester zoo and had a really good day. Arrived just after 4.00 for a meal the pub was busy but not to busy. Our meal was for 4 adults and a baby. The food was piping hot and was EXCELLENT as was our waitress. Pity that in Crosby our local pub the Nags Head cannot do the same, it's always a cold meal. The Wirral Hundred got very busy and it's no wonder, would definitely go again can't praise them enough. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. A great meal to end a fab day out. Giving all the star ratings

It is the first time I have had a meal in the pub. Took my 94 year old Mum. The service was excellent and food very good and extremely good value. My Mum had the gammon steak and enjoyed the meal so much, to my surprise she ate the full meal (she doesn't tend to eat large meals). The staff were as always very professional, courteous and attentive. One young lady (Cerys) took the food and drink order and was very helpful answering my various questions about the menu options. She also remembered what drinks we were having when I went back to the bar. Quite rare that I have found and shows an attention to detail and excellent customer service. Please pass on my regards and thanks to the staff. Will definitely be eating there again.

Just had a lovely mother's Day meal, staff so friendly and happy in their work. Free drinks for mum a lovely touch, lovely guitar musician in the background. Felt safe from Covid as doors open letting the lovely breeze from a gorgeous day in. Food was amazing, presentation excellent, hot and service so quick. Lady in charge was so good with my dad who has dementia. Thank you for making mum feel special

Lovely lunch with my son who pops in for meals more often than I do. Friendly staff and very tasty food served after a short wait. Everything piping hot and served with a smile. The pub is very near to us and has a great selection on the menu to please most people. Telly was on in the background but you can still have a chat and watch some sport if you want. Plenty of seating not on top of each other which feels safer during these Covid times. Would recommend to anyone to pop in and give the menu a go. Thanks for great afternoon with lovely food.
