Cons : the owner who carried out all communications and admin is very poor, tries to change the menu and simplify things from what is agreed with the chef and does not reply to emails and when she does she only replies to the questions she likes not giving you confidence in the company which is truly dispointing and adds to the stress of your wedding when in reality there is no need because this company knows there stuff once you get past her. Pros Toby the chef is outstanding, genuine lovely guy who will do all he can to accommodate all your guests dietary requirement and will bring together an outstanding meal. Hazel and her service team run seamlessly making sure all food arrives piping hot to the right people and would do anything to make your event special and run as smooth as possible Overall Yes I would use this company again I just wish there was a way to bypass the poor admin and communication and deal directly with Toby and his fantastic knowledge and way of working with you to achieve the best for you.

We booked Outside catering 18 months prior to our wedding. During this time we had met with Joanna twice, once for an initial consultant and once for tasting our menu options. From initial enquiry to the point of the wedding the price had increased by £10 per head, something Joanna wasn't transparent about from the beginning. Joanna initially quoted without VAT too so make sure your quote includes this or you might be in for a bit of a surprise! One month before our wedding I contacted Joanna to confirm final numbers and menu choices. She replied saying she could no longer provide our menu choices and instead told us our only option was a menu we had explicitly told her we didn't like at our tasting meeting. The menu she offered was cold shared table platters which was a considerable step down from the lamb rump served per person we had initially been promised. This news also came with another price increase. How we were treated by Outside was appalling, how is it possible to suddenly only offer one menu, have the audacity to try and charge us more for it and only communicate all of this one month beforehand? As you can imagine this was incredibly stressful so close to our wedding. It also made me think if I hadn't of contacted her first, when she would have communicated this with me. Luckily our evening caterers stepped in and saved the day, but I can't help but think what would have happened if they hadn't. When we spoke to our wedding venue, it turned out this isn't the first time this has happened with Outside cancelling numerous other weddings so please be wary when booking with this company. I wouldn't wish the level of stress I experienced on anyone, especially on the most important day of their lives.

Can not thank the team at Outside Food enough for catering for our wedding on the August Bank Holiday. Since meeting Joanna for the first time everything has been very profesional and easy, nothing was too much bother and they were very helpful. Hazel the manager on the day was fantastic and the rest of the team that were all over our marquee serving fantastic canapes, the best lamb and wonderful deserts. Had so many comments about the food from friends and family and the soup shot was a big hit! I would highly recommend them as caterers for events and weddings and all this for a reasonable price. Thank you again, we had a wonderful day and i think having you and your profesionalism there helped us to enjoy the day and not stress about anything!
