Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff at Owens who did a tremendous job last night. We were having a farewell meal for our much loved boss. Despite the fact that we were a large party, the service and food was faultless. They even took time out to take lots of pictures as a memory of a great evening.

The owners and the staff are lovely. Very attentive! My husband has disabilities and they accommodate us and my husband’s assistance dog very well. Also they have an accessible downstairs toilet. We feel not just welcomed, we feel special. The food is gorgeous and my husband said the “Bloody Mary” was very well prepared!

Popped in for lunch on Sunday and managed to get a table without a reservation. I had the rump beef burger with extra onion and bacon. My wife had the lamb shank with mash and veg. The lamb was nice but only came with a swirl of mash and one, yes one carrot! There was a roast onion on the side too. My burger was of the quality of your average van burger. (Rump steak?) Side salad consisted of one small lettuce leaf one small slice of tomato and two(wow!) Slices of cucumber. Coleslaw was nice. Will NOT return or recommend.

Regular visitors to Owens. The food and service is always first class. Excellent for breakfast. Welcoming to dogs in a separate section of the restaurant.
