Been a while since I was here but have used it a few times. Prices are reasonable compared to most guest houses of similar size, rooms are kept clean and there's always a good supply of tea, coffee, milk etc as well. Good access from the M6 via the M62 link to st Helens, the route brings you to the traffic lights outside (You get there via Thatto Heath so you're just round the corner at the lights. The main car park is small, maybe a bit tight for a van, but there are a few extra spaces opposite the vehicle entrance just ask. Not sure about wheelchair access, there are no lifts, this is a former residential home so I'm sure there must be some kind of access. Dining room is on the first floor and breakfast is always plentiful with a choice of cereals for self service. The full English cooked is delicious and you actually see it being cooked through the serving hatch. There's a TV in each room and some rooms look out over the busy dual carriageway to Taylor park. There's usually a few staff around in the morning but check in etc is done by 1 lovely lass who's been there pretty much since the place opened. There are cameras all round the external sections, including the entrance and car park. I would choose Park View over the main hotel in town any day, love the place.

Hard to rate really.. only stopped one night but it was quiet and it was self help to key in key safe. Rooms were clean. Shower was good and the tea facilities were good. Telly was good and a good night's sleep. I would say rates highly on value.

The hotel is well below standard. There is mould on walls and windows, which I'm allergic to, there is holes in ceilings and doors and the bedding is stained. There is more water coming out of the tiny shower unit than there was coming out of the shower head, the towels provided barely cover myself. People were fighting during the night and there was no staff on site to deal with it. Plug sockets don't work and there are big screws sticking out of the bunk beds which they tried covering with duct tape which is really unsafe having children in the room. The room is dusty and covered in cob webs and between the dogs accross the road constantly barking, people in the hotel banging doors and shouting, the sheer heat in the room even with the few windows that open are open, my partner, myself and my children have had no sleep! I really think the amount charged is very unreasonable for what is provided compared to a place like premier Inn which is only £10 more to stay in!

Stayed here for 1 night. Very clean plenty tea coffee sugar. I was in room 2... very bad down side rudely awaken but the room next door at 1am... walls very thing door leading between them they kept banging on it shouting and little girl kept screaming... scream fair enough but bang on the door out off order... shame really as it spoilt a good stay... booking in you have to ring a number as key is in key safe lady on other end of the fone wad very very polite spoke to her further and she was so so helpful..
