Pointing Dog

The Pointing Dog is now open with a fresh look, a new delicious menu and seasonal ales.

The Pointing Dog is a well-loved, beautiful pub in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. Featuring a beautiful new bar, relaxed dining areas and a truly stunning beer garden to while away your summer afternoons and evenings. The bar is filled with the JW Lees family of beers, including local favourites; Manchester Pale Ale, JW Lees Bitter, Manchester Craft Lager and Original Lager, as well as a back bar lined up with premium gins and spirits and a cellar full of hand-picked wines. 

The new menus feature our excellent hand stretched pizzas, pub classics including our homemade cheese & onion pie and beer battered fish & chips, as well as the best of the season dishes such as fresh market fish of the day, 28 day Black Angus steaks and of course, our Sunday roast with all the trimmings, including bottomless Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We now do a Sunday sharing platter for two which pairs perfectly with a bottle of wine on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Our light lunch is available Monday to Friday 12-5pm with 2 courses for £14.45 and 3 courses for £16.95.

Warm up by the fire on a cool day with a hearty meal and a delicious pint of cask ale, or take in the sun on a warmer day after a long walk with a refreshing pint of lager in our beer garden. We’re dog friendly in allocated areas of the pub and our beer garden and our outside bar makes ordering that extra pint just a little bit easier.
