Great pub offering bar food in good location. Eclectic mixture of clientele which gives a good atmosphere. It feels like a local pub thanks to the friendly staff, particularly Tony and Hollie, who were great. They were smiley, helpful and very positive. We booked a table to watch the Rugby. There was a slight mix up, however Tony dealt with it calmly and resolved the matter immediately. Food was enjoyable with quick service, and a good choice of drinks. Particularly 'little Guinness' shots. Of which we had rather a few. Then our feet starting dancing! And Tony and Hollie chuckled. And it was great. As usual.

Just dropped in to check out the pubs in this area & found the porter Brook was excellent. The staff were friendly & helpful. Great seletions of beer wine & spirits. A lovely little beer garden overlooking the Brook. The pub had a good atmosphere & we could of stayed there all afternoon. We will definitely be going back.

Went with my wife and son at lunchtime last week. Had fish and chips (x2) and Hunter's Chicken. Excellent all round!! Food was great - good quality, portions were generous, hot, and very well presented. Good value. Service was professional and friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped in for a feed after a decent 8 mile walk in the hills. A regular local boozer. Clean and friendly. No frills food that’ll fill you up without emptying your wallet and there’s plenty of brown sauce on tap to go with the pie. What more do you need to know?
