Our Baby & Pre-school programme is a wonderful bonding experience. Progressive lesson plans instil water-confidence and a love of swimming whilst our expert teachers tailor activities to your child’s abilities and needs. Taught in lovely, warm pools with a maximum of ten children, our classes incorporate rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research; we are the only national baby swim school that is 100% child-led. Our lessons are so well-received that the children we teach can often swim over 10m before they start school. Swim Academy teaches primary-school children up to the age of 10 to swim beautifully and efficiently, as well developing essential water safety and lifesaving skills. Our close-knit class sizes mean all children get the right level of support to suit their age. Small enough to nurture; large enough to let go. Children learn through experience, fun and some repetition. Practice makes perfect. We keep our classes fun, lively, varied and exciting to help your child stay engaged and challenged in the water.

Both our kids have gone from babies right up to being able to swim confidently 5m, and with a real love for swimming with puddle ducks. The teachers are fantastic, and the facilities at Aqua Nurture are really high quality. I'd recommend it to anyone with small children.

The teachers and team at Puddleducks are fantastic. The teaching standard is very high and our children have thrived. The team work to the children's strengths as well as being able to take their time. They are very patient and help the children move through the classes. Both our children have learned the basics of swimming over the last few year from babies and this will be an excellent grounding in their swimming journey. Thank you very much.

My baby and I love our weekly swimming lessons at Puddle Ducks! We have attended while I have been off work and he has been between 6 and 9 months old. The instructors are fantastic, the facilities are outstanding and the whole set-up is really welcoming. It is particularly lovely that there is a cafe by the pool and family members are able to come and watch the baby swim then join us for lunch afterwards. I will definitely be trying to book onto more classes when possible even after I return to work.

We started with puddle ducks since my child was 6 months old. Back in 2019, one of the main reason made me chose puddle ducks out of other swimming classes was the chance to cancel a class I could not make it and have a courtesy class to use another time. Isn’t a cheap activity to do with our little ones and I thought losing them just because unluckily he was poorly or we had booked holidays, that wasn’t ok. Puddle ducks offered a trial class and that gave me the confidence I wanted to start that journey with them. And we are very happy with it. My, nearly 4 years old, is very happy in the water and improves consistently. Recommended to friends who also still attending puddle ducks class. And I’m still happy to recommend to any new mums and dads. (Interesting, it was a health visitor nurse that talked about it and shared her personal experience)
