The DPF system is designed in such a way that when the engine is consistently running at approximately 2,500 rpms or more e.g. on a motorway, the exhaust gas temperatures exceed 350°C soot particles are constantly being burned off without any engine management intervention. Where the vehicle is predominantly used for urban mileage the exhaust gas temperatures fail to get hot enough passive regeneration is no longer achieved, therefore soot particles are no longer being burned off so start to accumulate inside the filter. Unfortunately all too often forced regenerations will fail or only be beneficial for a short period of time. Why? Simply because either the saturation is too high or the operator has not diagnosed and repaired the fault causing the DPF system to fail the process.

Great service and excellent workmanship! The gentleman came out at very short notice to clean my DPF, he arrived quickly and was very chatty and friendly. He quickly determined the cause of the problem and got right on with repairing it! Good value for money, would definitely recommend!

I called to enquire about my DPF filter repair. They offered to come the same day in between jobs and it was all fixed and sorted by 15:00 the same day. The gentleman who came out was polite and knowledgeable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Dan was first rate and explained the steps that he was taking to get my car remap ready. There were a number of issues that needed to be put right before he could remap it. He sorted them out and only charged mr for parts and not labour! My car now runs and performs so much better. I'll be letting Dan look after my car from now on!
