The window cleaners arrived this morning and parked outside my house. They usually clean my neighbours and my windows but left after cleaning the neighbours windows with no card left for me nor explanation. I phoned they office who said they would contact them. They returned an hour later and said that because my windows hadn't been cleaned for three months and were very dirty they would have to charge extra. I told them the windows had been cleaned a month ago and in fact the owner (their boss) was present. The pointed to the front door step and said it was dirty and they would have to charge extra. I told them that the front of the house has just been painted and that the extra traffic has had an effect but why just not leave the doorstep. The other window cleaner came out from the van and they started talking about me as though I wasn't there and then asking was I sure that my windows were cleaned last month. I believe this to be a scam and using people like me (I'm a pensioner) to get more money. They are a really good window cleaning company so it's a shame but when I told them not to come back they replied 'oh, we won't'. No apology - nothing. Very, very unprofessional especially in a world where everyone is struggling to make a living. Avoid.
